Hello everyone, I just attended the Vita Hill Social Club. A Playstation social gathering here in New York City’s lower east side of Manhattan for SONY’s new handheld The Playstation Vita.
The PS Vita (as its more commonly known) has its official release date set for February, 22 . For those of you whom February, 22 is a week too long to wait for the hotly anticipated PS Vita. You can grab yours on February, 15 an entire week prior to its official launch. Provided you have pre-ordered the First Edition Bundle from your retailer of choice.
At my arrival to the venue I come across a lengthy line just a tad more than a city block. As I walk to the end of the line I can see the excitement, and enthusiasm along all the Playstation Fans faces. Whether on mobile phones or in small social circles, the lot of them were in relentless discourse everything gaming.
Shortly after I station myself on the line Sid a Playstation Blog representative joins us at the back of the line and presents a warm sincere greeting. After Sid welcomes us he immediately begins demoeing the PS Vita to a young wide eyed Playstation gamer.
When Sid finally gets to me on the line we discuss the battery life of the PS Vita to which is of no surprise, but to my disappointment he confirms the 3 to 5 hour life the PS Vita will have. On another note much to my liking the PS Vita is much lighter than I previously anticipated.
I was a bit underwhelmed by the PS Vita, however; I found the touch screen, and the rear touch pad responsive. The screen is pretty to look at, as the images come across very smooth. The venue is cozy which would be a benefit if there weren’t so many who attended the event. Due to the number of attendees we were sent in groups and were promptly asked to leave and make room for the next group. All in all I enjoyed myself for what it was. Here are some pics of the venue from the inside, and two lovely Playstation attendants.
