After the huge success of Heavy Rain, people have been asking what is next for Quantic Dream, Internet sleuth Superannuation has dug up a freshly made U.S trademark by Sony which protects the name ‘Infraworld’ which was filed on May 17th of this year.
In 2006, Quantic Dream COO Guillaume de Fondaumiere told the world that Infraworld had been “cancelled”. “The concept did not appeal to publishers,” he explained.
Does this mean the game has been resurrected?
The answer is not necessarily, Quantic Dream auteur David Cage has previously admitted to concocting a fake project called ‘Horizon’ to prevent ‘leaks from the actors’
Back in March this year, a trademark and domain registration arose suggesting Fiv5 may be Quantic Dream’s next game.
David Cage has said that the studio are working on two titles and these latest trademarks lead to speculation that these are Fiv5 and Infraworld.
In the game Heavy Rain there was an easter egg for Infraworld where a poster for the game could be seen in a store in the mall (see the video below).
There is speculation suggesting Quantic Dream make a reveal at this years GamesCon.
What do you think Infraworld and Fiv5 will be? There are rumours that at least one of the two games will be revolved around War.
