MW2 DLC: Stimulus Package now available for PS3 and PC

The Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package is finally available for the PS3 gamers on May 5th and PC gamers on May 4th, the same Downloadable Content “DLC” was released a month ago exclusively for Xbox360 gamers in a time-limited exclusive offer.

Upon the release of the DLC on Xbox360, it was reported that the MW2-Add-on was downloaded by more than a million Xbox 360 users in just  first 24 hours, and 2.5 million after a week of its released. That number has already been surpassed by now.

Stimulus Package is the first of two downloadable map packs for Modern Warfare 2 developed by Infinity Ward. The second downloadable map pack is probably the last Call of Duty product the studio has left to deliver to Activision, following the sack of Vince Zampella and Jason West over allegations of “breaches of contract and insubordination”. More than 23 members of Infinity Ward has since left the studio and number still counting.

The new DLC priced on Steam for PC at approximately $15 or bad for EU gamers €15 ( that’s 4 dollars more than the US gamers) and on PS3 for same price, has been getting negative feedbacks from Gamers due to the pricing, same thing happened when the the DLC was released earlier on for XBox360, but Infinity Ward’s creative strategist Robert Bowling has insisted that the content will be well worth the asking price.

“There’s definitely no doubt in my mind that these maps packs and the five maps are definitely worth the investment,” Bowling said.

“Anybody who buys them and then plays Modern Warfare 2 online is going to get their money’s worth out of these maps”.

The Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package delivers additional action-packed multiplayer maps, including brand-new battlegrounds and legendary fan-favorites from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. But is the price tag really worth it, personally “negative”, but everyone has his personal opinion on this… so I’ll leave you guys to judge that for your yourself and purse.
