Microsoft’s Roundup for The CES2010

For all of those who did not know, Microsoft participated in the Consumer Electronics Show last night. It wasn’t very exciting, just like I thought it would be. It did not present much for me to write about, but never the less I will put something on the board for you guys to read, lol. As you know they announced all the great exclusives that will be coming for the first half of the year: Splinter Cell Conviction and Alan Wake are coming out some time in the first three months of the year and Mass Effect 2 is coming on the 26th of this month, just to name of few.

Of course, they had to show the “Halo Reach” footage (coming to you this fall), which was blocked out from my eyes to see. However I found out it was the same footage we have all seen before, so why they blocked it out beats me. They also announce that the Modern Warfare 2 DLC will be out in the spring, but we all knew that too!

So what was so fresh that we didn’t know about that has been leak, you ask? The “Game Room” was no new news for me personally, I already knew from watching The HipHopGamer Show. He spoke about it as a rumor about a month or two ago. So shout out to you for bringing us the news on that first, lol. You can invite your friends to your game room arcade to play, which will be decked out with the original cabinets. It will be available on both PC and 360, with new games each week–over 1,000 titles are in the pipe. Once again, they blocked off the video to see it in action, so I can’t really go into more depth about it.

This is suppose to be MS version of Home, but sadly I don’t think this will cut it if you ask me. I mean why would I re-buy some of the arcade titles that I already have like Mrs.Pac-man just to play them in cabinets.  The game room idea would have been a blast if it was already in the mix when the new “NXE” came along in 08 but it wasn’t. I felt like a “WTF” moment was bound to happen after this piece was over.

Last but not least was Project Natal, but the only announcement was its holiday season release. They were still short on giving out info about it, just some rehash of info we saw in E3 and so on. But overall the conference was nice from their other line of products in store for us PC users. This is my two bit story on the CES show aight holla!!!!!
