My favorite part of the fall update would be the addition of Last.fm to the Xbox Live Dashboard. I mean who doesn’t LOVE music, right?!? Last.fm and Xbox teamed up to help us explore old loves and new flames! With over 3.5 million songs to choose from you’ll never run out of music, unless your crazy sick with knowing every song, then congrats! I use Last.fm to find and explore new music that I wouldn’t have found otherwise. Downloading Last.fm is very simple and fast, so don’t be too intimidated to try it out!
How it works – By entering a band, Last.fm pulls up music relating to that specific bands style or genre. When listening to a song you can press the heart icon to profess your love for that song and add it to your personal station. To prevent the loss of a song; recently played songs are stored in a separate station so no song is left behind! Of course, you’re not going to like every song so there’s even a skip button! You can always block a song, so you never have to hear it again! How sweet is that?
Last.fm has also added artist biographies, and pictures. So if you care to learn more about your favorite bands, then there you go! Sometimes it’s fun to just laugh at some goofy looking band members! I think they should eventually incorporate music videos or live footage, but that’s just me! There are advertisements BUT only every so often and not terribly long. How awesome is Xbox – The latest and greatest in video games, movies and TV shows that stream instantly to your TV, and now your very own personal music library for anytime access. With easy to find music right at your fingertips, Last.fm is very convenient and effortless, and is sure to suit your current mood….Ahhhh the endless possibilities! Have fun with Last.fm, its there for you, it’s free, (gold members) so take advantage of it!!
