Five Video Game Heroes That Made Us Feel Invincible

Why do we play video games? Some of us need an escape, a place to call our own as we try to deal with the pressures of the real world. Others use them as a way to network, using online play to meet others and form clans, as well as forge real friendships. Still others use them as an outlet for frustration; I mean, what makes you feel better than shooting a few digital cops, then stealing a car?... more. -

As many of you Capcom fans are surely aware, the baller-status sequel to Lost Planet was released on May 11th and has been rapidly consuming my mind ever since. The third-person action is bound to rock your socks whether you decide to get down on the four-player co-op campaigns or the sixteen-player online versus mode. Despite a few minor grievances, there is much fun to be had on this one. Killin... more. -

You guys remember our ol’ pal Jun Takeuchi, right? Well according to this mysterious lead producer there was Lost Planet 2 content cut from the game due to the lack of disc space on the Xbox 360. Fear not though, my fellow snow-pirates. Capcom is attempting to placate the nerdy masses by offering this content as DLC with low price. This pack consists of two maps, Dockyard and Frozen Wasteland, a... more. -

I’ve been playing video games since I can remember, and as a young boy I didn’t care much about what type of game I was playing, as long as it was fun it had my full attention. That changed as I grew and I’ve become more finicky about my games and generally avoided ones that look unappealing to me. I have been to several midnight releases of video games in my time. I have seen the tail-gate party that took place while awaiting MW2. To make things worse; these virtuous employees of GameStop refused to let all ... more.
